Quadruped Robot

Xiaomi CyberDog 2 is a bio-inspired quadruped robot that is powered by NVIDIA’s Jetson Xavier NX AI Supercomputer for Embedded and Edge Systems which includes 384 CUDA® Cores, 48 Tensor Cores, a 6-core NVIDIA Carmel ARM v8.2 64-bit CPU, and 2 deep learning acceleration engines. Xiaomi CyberDog 2 is paired with 8GB 128-bit LPDDR4x RAM, 16GB eMMC 5.1 storage and 32GB of near-industrial grade SSD.

High-performance

Xiaomi has improved the mobility of its CyberDog robot with self-developed CyberGear micro-actuators. These actuators make the robot more agile and capable of performing more complicated maneuvers, such as continuous backflips and fall recovery.

With its in-house developed high-performance servo motor, Xiaomi CyberDog 2 has a wide range of movements including running, jumping, turning left or right. and leaning forward. The CyberDog 2 can also do a backflip, roll around, and stand on its hind legs. The device has a maximum walking speed of 1.6m/s and a maximum payload of 1kg.

19 Sensors

Xiaomi CyberDog is equipped with 19 high-precision sensors, include vision, touch, and hearing sensors, stuffed with an RGB camera, an interactive AI-backed camera, four ToF sensors, a LiDAR sensor, a depth camera, an ultrasonic sensor, a fisheye lens sensor, a force sensor, and two Ultra Wide Band sensors, and Intel’s RealSense D430 depth camera module that helps the robot achieve centimeter-scale obstacle avoidance and navigation.

Multiple Control Methods

Xiaomi CyberDog 2 can be controlled in three ways – via the mobile phone app, voice control, and a remote control pictured below that is sold separately. 

XiaoAI System

Xiaomi’s XiaoAI system is built into the CyberDog 2 and it can be used to control compatible smart home appliances such as the TV, vacuum cleaner, air conditioner, and air purifier. CyberDog 2 has four microphones and is compatible with the Xiaomi AI voice algorithm.

Multi-external Interfaces

CyberDog 2 has rich external interfaces that include 3 type-C ports and 1 HDMI port, developers have the freedom to explore and integrate a wide range of innovative and creative hardware add-ons or software systems, be it a searchlight, panoramic camera, motion camera, LiDAR, or more.
